National Storytelling week from 30th January until 3rd February 2017. 2017 marks the 17th year of its Annual National Storytelling Week. At Ringwood School we are celebrating this by having a Teacher read a book each breaktime in our Learning Resource Centre. Today saw our wonderful Mrs Woolfenden entertaining students with 'A little, Aloud, for Children' by Angela Macmillan.
Two of our Sixth Formers, Louise Diment and Talullah Lake, recently visited Auschwitz. Since 1999, over 30,000 students and teachers have taken part in the Holocaust Educational Trust's groundbreaking Lessons from Auschwitz Project. The LFA Project aims to increase knowledge and understanding of the Holocaust for young people and to clearly highlight what can happen if prejudice and racism become acceptable. Here is a brief reflective statement from Louise.
