Programmes of Study

Each student follows a curriculum that is designed to provide a structured and challenging learning programme that supports their development and progression in line with their career plans. Our study programmes:

  1. Enables students to choose 3 subjects from the 35 different academic and vocational courses that we offer. These are designed to stretch students and prepare them for university, an apprenticeship or employment.
  2. Offer a diverse programme of academic and personal enrichment. It is an integral part of your Post- 16 programme of study and compulsory for all students in Year 12. All Post – 16 programmes of study must offer the opportunity to develop your character, skills and confidence in areas outside your chosen academic studies.  We believe that our programme will enhance your studies and give you the opportunity to prepare yourselves for employment or higher levels of study.
  3. Guide students to complete a period of work experience to give students the opportunity to develop their career choices and to apply their skills in real working conditions.
  4. Where appropriate, allow students to resit GCSE English and Mathematics to improve their grades to enhance their future opportunities.
