SIXTH FORM OPPORTUNITIES

‘Get involved and make a difference’ is the essential message for all students who choose to study at Ringwood. A hugely diverse range of activities and events determined by the student body ensure there is something for everyone.

Every year, we welcome international students who bring cultural diversity and enrich the life of the school. Our student leadership team take responsibility for activities that develop learning through community, welfare, political voice and global events. Our student’s opportunities to learn go far beyond the classroom, with various experiences offered each year that are local, national and international.

At Ringwood Sixth Form we take part in holding a variety of annual events throughout the school year. In September we start with our Welcome Picnic hosted by our current year 13’s for our new year 12’s. Later in the term we have a Touch Rugby Tournament with mixed teams & year groups. This leads us onto our health & well-being week. Students are able to take part in interesting and informative presentations given by professionals.

During our winter term we host our Senior Citizen’s Party, where sixth form entertain and dine with local senior citizens, it truly is a heart-warming event. Spring term sees the return of our schools production which is carefully selected each year. Summer term rounds off the year with sports day events and our Y13’s Graduation, this is where we say goodbye and good luck to our leavers.

In year 12, one week of work experience is offered to all students. This is a unique opportunity for our students to gain, great work place knowledge and understanding to set them up for the world of work in a vocation of their choice.

Throughout your two years at Ringwood Sixth Form, you will be involved in a numerous amount of charity events and visits. For an insight of what goes on in our Sixth Form. Please see our Ringwood School and Sixth Form Events Gallery.
