Courses
Ringwood School is proud to offer a wide variety of inspiring courses to help develop the primary and secondary school leaders of the future. The courses will all take place in the Ringwood School Conference Centre, a state of the art modern facility located on the Ringwood School campus.

MARCH 2017

Genomics taster for secondary & post-16 Teachers: Monday 27th March 2017 at Ringwood School-Conference Centre. From 4.00pm until 6.00pm. No Cost.

Course will provide:
•An opportunity to network & exchange ideas with colleagues
•Reinforce your own subject knowledge
•A range of activities for different key stages for participates to engage with as relevant to their practice

Outcomes:
•Gain confidence in your subject knowledge & understanding of genomics
•Identify & challenge misconceptions
•Plan to introduce new creative ideas & resources into the classroom

JULY 2017

Picturebooks: Thursday 6th July 2017 at Ringwood School-Conference Centre. From 1.30pm until 4.30pm. Cost per delegate £75.00.

Course will include:
•Additional ideas about using quality picture books for thinking, questioning & ‘going deeper’
•Strategies for building in quality picture books on the journey to deeper, advanced comprehension skills
•More confidence in teaching aspects of quality text & quality writing via picture book resources
•Further knowledge of the resources themselves – building a culture which supports work with literary texts too.
