We are celebrating some of our best ever GCSE results following on from the excellent A level results achieved. These are particularly pleasing at a time of significant change in the examination system with the number of C grades at national level falling to the lowest level for 10 years, making it more difficult to achieve higher grades.

Attainment in English and Maths was significantly above national average.

-83% gained A*-C in English, 23% above the national average of 60%.

-74% gained A*-C in Maths, 12% above the national average of 62%.

Progress in EBACC subjects has been very strong with significant improvements in Humanities, Sciences and Languages.

Our Students progress is at an all time high. The progress 8 figure is significantly positive on a three year rising trend with our best value added in recent years, showing that students are making nearly 20% more progress from their starting point than expected.

-5 A*-C (all subjects) is up on last year to 75%.

-5A*-C inc. English and Maths is up on last year to 66%.

-Progress in English is excellent with 86% of students making or exceeding expected progress.

-Progress in Maths is well above national average with 72% of students making or exceeding expected progress.

Congratulations to the class of 2016!
