As required by the Admissions Code, the Governing Body of Ringwood School is conducting a consultation on its proposed Admission Arrangements for the school year 2019/20. The consultation period runs from Monday 18th December 2017 to Friday 26th January 2018.

In summary the changes are as follows:
• An increase to the PAN of 15 from 250 to 265.
• Grouping all siblings (according to the definition set out in the policy) in one oversubscription category rather than two oversubscription categories (in catchment and out of catchment) to recognise the importance to the families that we serve of having their children at the same school and the benefit of this for home/school relationships.
• An increase in the importance of being on roll at a feeder school in recognition of the significance of our close transition work with our feeder schools. Catchment children in a feeder school fall into one oversubscription category higher than non-catchment children at a feeder school.

Please can you send any comments you may have about the proposed arrangements to: Isobel Weeks, Admissions Manager at Ringwood School: no later than 26th January 2018. All comments will be considered by the Governing Body.

Yours sincerely,

Leanne Symonds
