In December former student Milo Gill-Taylor, who completed his A levels at Ringwood School in June 2018, collected the prestigious ‘Salters Advanced Chemistry’ A level achievement award at the Salter’s Institute in London.

The event was attended by over 180 guests including prizewinners and relatives, teachers and invited representatives from industry and academia. He collected his award from Dr. Emma Sceates, CEO of Isogenica and The Hon Philip Remnant CBE, master of The Salters’ Company. He was accompanied at the presentation by his mother Kate Taylor and Dr. Justin Davis, his chemistry teacher at Ringwood School.

The annual awards ceremony celebrates the outstanding achievement of the five students in physics, chemistry and biology who obtained the very highest marks in the Salters A level exams as well as prizes and scholarships for achievement in higher education.

Milo achieved three A* grades in chemistry, physics and maths at Ringwood and was appointed as Chemistry Principal student during year 13, promoting the subject at open-evenings and with younger students.

Milo is keen to pursue a career in science and is currently studying Natural Sciences at St Catharine’s college, Cambridge. We wish him well with his studies and with his future scientific work!
