Preparing students for life after school is a vital part of learning in 21st century education. Students from Y7-13 are supported in their understanding of what a life in work involves during Life Choices lessons.
Students are gradually introduced to the variety of opportunities available, different paths which are possible after school, how to prepare a CV, practise interviews and feedback. One to One interviews with a careers advisor and contact with colleges, local employers, apprenticeship providers and help with UCAS are all available.
A careers fair and an apprenticeship evening bring in experts for students and parents to meet. During the year there are opportunities for students to go offsite to a variety of on- line tools like the bespoke Careers Companion are shared with parents and students to facilitate decision making.
