Photography Competition
The Judging Panel consists of:
Stuart Fielder (Head of Art, Ringwood School), Emily Weston (Subject Lead - Photography, Ringwod School), Sandie Wright (Art Ringwood ), Geoff Ridgway OBE (Past President Rotary Club Ringwood), Barry Senior (Royal Photographic Society), Trevor Pogson (Chair of Ringwood Photography Club) and a representative from Arts University Bournemouth.
Students, staff and parents/carers are invited to submit photographs which respond to this years theme "Perspective".
All entries must be submitted as JPEG files, with a minimum file size of 2MB by email to: photocompetition@ringwood.hants.sch.uk
Images should be labelled with the name, the photo's title, school and age group. Due to the huge volume of entries, any photographs incorrectly labelled will unfortunately not be considered.
Al cannot be used to generate images being entered.
Entries are limted to 3 images per person as a maximum.
Age catagories;
- Primary Years R -6
- School Years 7 - 10
- School Years 11 - 13
- A parent/carer or school teacher /staff
The deadline for entries is Friday 31st January 2026
Judging will be carried out in the weeks following the deadline and entrants whose photographs have made
it to the exhibition stage will be individually invited by their school.
Short-list ed entries will be required to write a short explanation of their piece.
An exhibition and prize-giving evening will be hosted in The Barn at Ringwood School on Tuesday 11th March 2025.
Winning entries will receive prizes of cash vouchers and photographic books as sponsored through the Ringwood Rotary Club. As well as category winners, a Young Photographer of the Year title will be awarded with the grand prize of a full DSLR camera kit; this prestigious competition is now also supported by the Royal Photographic Society.
